A key component in research and development is the liaison with clients. Verified highly values the cooperation with various authorities in developing the LOID methodology even further. Verified is hence very pleased to welcome Ireland on board. Following a public tender, Verified will as of September 2012 provide the Office of the Refugee Applications Commissioner and the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Services with expert assessments regarding the linguistic origin of individuals.

2011-12-19Prof Tomas Riad appointed to Chair n:o 6 of the Swedish Academy
It is with considerable pleasure and moderate surprise that Verified receives the news that Professor Tomas Riad is appointed to Chair n:o 6 of the Swedish Academy. In addition to awarding the Nobel Prize in literature, the Swedish Academy, founded in 1786, is charged with advancing the Swedish language. It goes without saying that accepting this responsibility, while maintaining the position as professor, regretfully leaves too little room to stay a regular member of the Verified Scientific Advisory Board. Professor Riad has contributed to Verified not least within prosody and will remain to be of counsel as a Verified Alumni.
