LOID - Linguistic Origin IDentification

LOID focuses on profiling a dialectal background. It identifies a number of grammatical, morphological and phonetic features of a person’s speech and groups them in patterns. These patterns are supported with references in academic research which makes LOID reports transparent and easily cross-checked. The patterns create the basis for conclusion about the probability that the person's speech can be attributed to the claimed area of origin.

Welcome Ireland!
A key component in research and development is the liaison with clients. Verified highly values the cooperation with various authorities in developing the LOID methodology even further. Verified is hence very pleased to welcome Ireland on board. Following a public tender, Verified will as of September 2012 provide the Office of the Refugee Applications Commissioner and the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Services with expert assessments regarding the linguistic origin of individuals.
